National BioBank Consortium of Taiwan （NBCT） Officially Includes NTU Hospital Yunlin Branch
On May 8, 2024, NTU Hospital Yunlin Branch signed a cooperation agreement with the National Health Research Institutes, officially joining the National Biobank Consortium of Taiwan. This collaboration aims to advance the biomedical industry and provide comprehensive and professional medical services, focusing on the health and medical needs of the elderly.
NTU Hospital Yunlin Branch, officially approved by the Ministry of Health and Welfare on December 13, 2023, established Yunlin County's first Human Biobank at the Huwei Campus. The biobank has independent storage space, operation space, archives, and specimen storage rooms, with 24-hour strict monitoring systems, standardized processes, and rigorous legal and ethical standards to protect participants and their biological data.
The hospital aims to improve biomedical research and establish itself as a high-standard medical center. Collaboration with the National Health Research Institutes and joining the National Human Biobank.
