In accordance with the Human Biobank Management Act and relevant regulations, the hospital established its Human Biobank on December 13, 2023, with approval from the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The biobank manages the collection, storage, and utilization of biological specimens and is overseen by the Human Biobank Ethics Committee. Collected specimens are stored in -80℃ freezers and liquid nitrogen tanks, with temperature monitoring alarm systems and 24-hour surveillance and electronic door locks to ensure security. Personal data is encrypted and stored in isolated, offline computers to ensure participant privacy and rights protection.
