Event Overview:
On March 18, 2024, President Huey-Kang Sytwu of NHRI and CEO Shiu-Feng Huang of NBCT visited Taipei Veterans General Hospital to present the Grade A award and gifts in recognition of the hospital's outstanding performance in the National Biobank Consortium of Taiwan Institution Evaluation.
Superintendent Wei-Ming Chen highlighted that since February 2020, the hospital has actively followed national policies, joined the National Biobank Consortium of Taiwan, and adhered to the platform's standard operating procedures. The hospital has systematically organized specimens and clinical data, promoting the integration, linking, and sharing of database information.
President Huey-Kang Sytwu emphasized that the National Biobank Consortium of Taiwan collaborates with 34 institutions in Taiwan, involving 960,000 participants. This initiative integrates and analyzes collected specimens, data, and information, promoting precision medicine. Taipei Veterans General Hospital's active participation greatly supports this national initiative.
